1st Floor - Main Building - Entrance Lobby

The 1st Floor of Hamilton Library (Main) is the entrance. There is a lot of traffic and activity. The Circulation Desk for checking books out and the Business Office for paying fines is located here.

Just past the Entrance Lobby, this space provides comfortable lounge-type seating. A great spot to relax between classes. There is a lot of activity with students coming and going from the building.

1st Floor - Main Building - CLIC Lab

The CLIC (Computerized Learning and Information Center) Lab is open to University of Hawaii students, faculty, and staff. There are approximately 80 Dell computers with Microsoft Office software.

1st Floor - Main Building - Sunny Alcove

Located on the 1st Floor of Hamilton Library (Main), the Sunny Alcove is generally busy with activity. It is good for collaborative study space and has natural light from a large window.

This area includes the general, print reference collection. The Business, Humanities and Social Science Reference Desk for information and research help is located here. There are numerous tables for group studying.

1st Floor - Main Building - Harry C. and Nee-Chang Wong Audiovisual Center

This area is located near Hamilton Library’s 1st Floor lobby. It includes equipment for viewing the audiovisual and microfilm collections. The Music Department’s Ethnomusicology Program maintains the display cases located in this space with rotating thematic exhibitions of instruments from the Ethno Instrument Collection.

1st Floor - Addition - Presentation Practice Rooms

There are two Presentation Practice Rooms located in Hamilton Library's Addition that can be reserved by University of Hawaii at Manoa students. Each room includes a computer with Microsoft Office, an LCD projector, screen, white board, and worktable with chairs.

The 2nd Floor of Hamilton Library (Main) includes the Hamilton book stacks (A-PZ). There are individual study carrels throughout the 2nd Floor along with some larger tables.

The 4th of Hamilton Library (Main) is the location of the Asia Collection reference desk for research help. The Asia and East Asia print reference and current periodicals along with the Asia book stacks (A-HZ) are here. There are large tables for group study and study carrels along the walls for individual study.

4th Floor - Addition

The 4th Floor of Hamilton Library (Addition) includes the book stacks (RD-Z). There are large tables and study carrels. This location is a quiet study zone.

The 5th Floor of Hamilton (Main) houses the Hawaiian & Pacific Collection. Bags must be placed in a locker before entering the room. The Hawaiian & Pacific Collection reference desk and circulation desk are located here. There are large study tables and comfy seating with natural light from the large window.

Ground Floor - Main Building

The basement of Hamilton Library (Main) is the location of the Government Documents and Maps Collection. There is a reference desk for research help and the MAGIS GIS Lab. This space has large study tables.
