2019 Native American Moot Court

The 27th annual National Native American Law Students Association’s Moot Court Competition took place on March 1 and 2, 2019 at the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law in Tucson. Richardson’s Native American Moot Court Teams (NAMC) included: Rachel James ’19 and Nicholas Kido ’20Janessa Maddox ’20 and Ian Tapu ’20, and Ashllyn Melo-Pang ’20 and Nicholas Ernst ’20Kaleio Crowell ’20, an alternate, and Ka Huli Ao Legal Fellow Letani Peltier ’17 accompanied the teams.

Letani reported: “Although the NAMC participants did not bring home any awards this year, they did an outstanding job of representing Hawaiʻi and the William S. Richardson School of Law. The team extends its deepest mahalo to everyone who helped to moot the team, act as bailiffs, and otherwise provided wise advice and counsel.”
