Ka Huli Ao Center for Excellence in Native Hawaiian Law presented Maoli Thursday on the topic “Lost in Translation: ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi and the Law.” Native Hawaiian Legal Corporation attorney Sharla Manley and ʻŌiwi TV host and language advocate Amy Kalili ’06 discussed how constitutional provisions relating to ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi and Hawaiian education have helped the language revitalization movement both in the classroom and courtroom, and where we go from here. 2Ls Luʻukia Nakanelua and Kealiʻi Sagum moderated.
