Ka Huli Ao offers a Law School Admissions Test Preparation Program to support prospective applicants to the William S. Richardson School of Law who intend to take the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT). The program is intended to further the vision of Chief Justice Richardson: to provide access to legal education for all people of Hawaiʻi.

The Ka Huli Ao LSAT Preparation Program, taught by Professor Liam Skilling,  is held twice a year. The courses are scheduled to coincide with the June and December administration of the LSAT. Courses run for approximately ten weeks, with classes and diagnostic tests held in the evening and on a few Saturdays.

As part of this program, KHA is responsible for facilitating three panels for LSAT program participants. This semester, the following panels were led by Prof. Avis Poai and Post-JD Fellow Letani Peltier:

• October 21, 2017: “Law School: The Student Experience” – Marcos Bendana 3L, Erin Fale 3L, Tarita Keohokalole-Look 1L.
• November 4, 2017: “Law School: Law Professors and Their Classes” – Prof. Troy Andrade, Dean Ronette Kawakami, and Prof. Ken Lawson.
• November 11, 2017: “After Law School – The Legal Profession” – Jordan Ching, Kamalolo Koanui-Kong, and Letani Peltier.
