Our Bento Box series returned in October 2023 with presentations from Brandon Marc Higa, S.J.D. candidate at the William S. Richard School of Law, and Tokikake Ii, Ph.D. candidate at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Department of History.

Established in Spring 2022, the CJS Bento Box series is an opportunity for graduate students to present their academic work to an audience in a more informal setting that allows for discussion and open engagement (while also enjoying bentos!).

Dr. Theresa Greaney is a Professor of Economics at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. Her research fields of interest include international trade, US-Japan trade conflicts, networks and trade, and the Japanese economy. In this talk, Dr. Greaney will talk about the 2019 Korean consumer boycott of travel to Japan and the regional impacts to Japan.
