COVID-19 Safety Guidelines, Operations & Resources

HELP is following all guidelines set by the CDC; Federal, State, and Local Government; and University of Hawai’i officials. University of Hawaii Summer 2022 COVID-19 Requirements
Face masks are required indoors in all classes on campus.
Students are highly encouraged to be FULLY VACCINATED for COVID-19 before attending in-person classes.
Students who are ill should stay home and complete distance learning assignments.
Students who test positive for COVID-19 must inform the HELP office and complete isolation requirements before being allowed to return in-person.
COVID-19 requirements may change suddenly so please check the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa: Moving Forward website for updated guidelines.
Safety Guidelines
General safety guidelines

- Stay at home when sick.
- All students and staff must stay home if they present any symptoms related to COVID-19.
- Students who are absent due to COVID-19 related issues will be excused. Students can complete alternative distance learning assignments until they are cleared to return to campus.
- Wear a face mask. All students and staff are required to wear face masks. Students & staff should provide their own face coverings. Face masks are required indoors on campus.
- Wash your hands.
- All students and staff are reminded to wash their hands properly for at least 20 seconds with soap and water frequently.
- Hand sanitizer is available in all classrooms and shared facilities.
All current HELP students and staff will receive specific information and training on the health & safety requirements before beginning any in-person classes.
