Housing and Accommodations

The HELP Program has the following accommodations options available to our students during their studies at UH. The Housing Coordinator will assist you by providing information and quotes, making reservations and assisting you after arrival should any issues arise. There is a non-refundable Accommodations Placement Fee of $200 for each student who requests accommodations through the HELP program. Airport pick-up and drop-off can be arranged by the Housing Coordinator.

    • Housing applications are due sixty (60) days prior to arrival. Payments for accommodations due 1 month prior to arrival.

Homestay

Living with a host family is a great way to improve your English skills and learn about Hawaiian and American cultures. Students will have a furnished room with a bed, bedding, desk, chair, closet and/or dresser. The homestay meal plan is breakfast and dinner seven days a week. The typical commute time to school from a host family is about 30-60 minutes. (Note: Students under 18, please contact us for pricing). Please indicate if students are part of a group.

Dormitory/Student Residence

Staying in a dormitory provides a chance to live with other students and experience a more independent lifestyle. It is a good choice for those who like being around people and prefer a noisy and active environment. It is located one block from UH and has a swimming pool, security gates, coin laundry facilities and on-site parking. Students are responsible for buying and preparing their own meals daily. Students must buy their own bed sheets, pillows, blankets, bath towels and kitchen items. Dormitories must be booked for the entire semester (17 weeks) beginning in January, May or August.
**There are NO REFUNDS once the booking has been completed.
**NO CANCELLATIONS once deposit has been paid.

Studio Apartment or Condominium

Living in an apartment or condominium is a good choice for students who want to live independently. Many condos are located in Waikiki near various shops, restaurants, nightlife and beaches. Most condos are fully furnished and have a kitchenette and bathroom, and bed sheets, pillows, blankets, bath towels and kitchen items are provided. Students are responsible for buying and preparing their own meals daily. Policies and amenities vary by condo unit. The typical commute time to school from a Waikiki studio is about 15-25 minutes.

Condo prices can range anywhere between $2,500-$3,500 per month and varies by building, unit size, location, availability, check-in/check-out date, and many other factors. Booking and cancellation policies also vary by building/unit. Please contact Study and Stay Hawaii for a quote.
