Transferring schools can be a huge change, whether youʻre coming to us from within the UH System around Oʻahu, from one of our neighbor islands, from the mainland, or even abroad. Consider all these domains when making the choice.

• Physically – are you able to travel to UHM?
• Academically – have you completed what you can at your current institution, does UHM offer a major you want, are you equipped to complete your intended program?
• Financially – have you taken into consideration tuition, fees, housing costs, living expenses, do you have a budget that works for you?
• Mentally – are you prepared for large classes, the academic expectations of a 4-year institution, balancing family/work/school/social?
