Elmer is a proud graduate of the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. He has been with the Mānoa since 2008 after working in both the private and public sectors. Although his field of study is in human development, his professional career over the last forty-plus years has centered around leadership, legal and land title research, organizational capacity, planning, and public policy. As the government relations and community affairs liaison, Elmer is often provided challenging and confidential matters that require transparency and forthright solutions. He is committed to bringing the same to the Mānoa Staff Senate. Elmer also serves as his family’s genealogist, which he is extremely passionate about and will humbly tell you that it is simply his “kuleana.”
