Sejong University is a private university located in Seoul, with a purpose to fostering talents who think of their country and others before themselves and can contribute to the development of human culture. The university is named after King Sejong, the 4th king in the Joseon Dynasty, who invented the Korean alphabet (Hangul).
Sejong University has 10 different colleges: Liberal Arts, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Natural Sciences, Life Sciences, Electronics and Information Engineering, Software and Convergence Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Physical Education. Around 15% of the courses are offered in English, and Sejong Language School is also available to students who are interested in developing their Korean language skills.

Sejong University recommends staying in the dormitory, as it can be difficult to find short-term, off-campus housing. Exchange students are usually assigned to the International Student Dormitory, depending on availability. All dormitories on campus are alcohol, drug, and smoke free. There is curfew as well, with access to the dormitories restricted during these hours.
