Research interests

My research interests include marine ecology and underwater sound. I have conducted acoustic monitoring of marine mammals and other sound-producing organisms in a variety of ecosystems, from remote tropical reefs to icy polar waters, as well as urban and military areas. My current position at UHM is focused mainly on teaching in the undergraduate marine biology program, and I am passionate about offering high-quality instruction and hands-on experiences for our students.
