Location: Bridge Gallery
Latin American & Iberian Studies at UHM presents a collection of Precolumbian and Colonial Latin American Art and Objects. This exhibit features folk art, textiles, and ceramic arts from several cultures and states including Inka, Maya, and Aztec. To coincide with these pieces, exhibit curator Assistant Professor Christine Beaule, incorporated Mexican calavera (skeleton) broadsides from the Jean Charlot Collection. Don't miss this opportunity to view these fascinating objects and read about perspectives on conquest and colonialism in Latin America.
