After a lengthy pause, a Crown Prince Akihito Scholarship Foundation (CPASF) Awards Ceremony was held again. The 2025 CPASF Awards Ceremony was held on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at the Consulate-General of Japan in Honolulu, in honor of the 2025-2025 scholars, Joseph Iseri and Shion Sasaki, as well as past award recipients, Hiroko Saito (2019-2021) and Ryo Dobashi (2021-2023). Congratulations to the scholars!
Consul-General Yoshinori Kodama, CPASF Chairman Steve Sombrero, CPASF President Reyna Kaneko, CPASF Vice President Marsha Yokomichi, CPASF Trustees, CJS Director Mark Levin, CJS Associate Director Joan Pan, UHM Japan Studies Librarian Mitsutaka Nakamura, and University of Hawai’i Foundation Vice President for Advancement Services and Administration Christine Koo were in attendance. We would like to extend our gratitude to the CPASF and the Consul General for extending the award ceremony invitation to the UHM Center for Japanese Studies.
