SLS 150 (Learning Languages and Communicating in a Globalized World) is an introductory course mainly for first-year (freshman) students with a strong interest in second language learning. A series of innovative and rigorous classroom assessment strategies have been piloted in this class. Lessons learned from this internal exercise will be extended to the full suite of the new SLS BA program and its progress with program assessment as we move forward to the five year provisional status review.
