Raedelle was a public school science teacher for 18 years before working at Lyon Arboretum in 2017.  Working at Lyon is a dream come true for Raedelle because it is her passion to teach children about how special Hawaiʻiʻs natural environment is – especially our endemic plants and to make sure schools that serve underprivileged communities can visit the Arboretum.  Raedelle is married with three sons, two in college and one in high school.  She enjoys crocheting, embroidery, cooking, and taking care of a menagerie of animals both at home and at the Arboretum.  She is honored to serve as a Senator and is excited to learn from the other members.
