I am a lecturer at the Spanish Division of the Department of Languages and Literatures of Europe and the Americas. In 2020, I earned a Ph.D. in Latin American Literatures and Cultures from the University of Pittsburgh.

My areas of interest encompass a diverse range of topics, including Medical Humanities, 20th and 21st Century Latin American Literature and Culture with a special emphasis on LGBTQ narratives and contemporary visual cultures. I also have extensive experience teaching courses related to Spanish for the Professions. For more information on my academic publications, visit my website.

Since fall of 2011, I have taught a wide variety of undergraduate courses at five different universities located in the states of Washington, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, and now in the beautiful ʻāina of Hawai‘i.
