Kaua’i 4-H Federation and Kauai 4-H Livestock Club, learning how to sew and create their own face masks for this COVID-19 pandemic. All of these mask materials were pre-cut and instructions inserted into each kit for the kids and families to pick up and learn together as a family the importance of face masks at this time. Communication By Zoom

Many 4-Hers had been preparing for months for their participation in the 4-H Communications Fair, which was held by Zoom on Sunday, March 29. The presentation and demonstration sections happened virtually, because the Coronavirus has shut down physical meetings for the present. All of the 4-Hers who had presentations and demonstrations prepared, as well as the judges and spectators, participated via Zoom. Let’s Go to Santa’s Workshop

This workshop helped to educate 4-H members about food presentation and food safety. We worked with adults and members who were interested in entering the annual Oahu County 4-H Food Show which was held on January 12, 2020 at Farrington High School. Our group used recipes that were simple to allow the members to be creative with their food plating.  We also developed an awareness of how to keep hot foods hot and cold foods cold.
