INDOOR AREA USAGE REMINDERS

  • Food and drinks are not allowed in the general-use classrooms or auditoriums. Please consume food and drinks outdoors, and place trash in the nearest dumpster.
  • Please restore the reserved space to its original configuration once your event has concluded.
  • Please note that your organization may be responsible to cover costs for:
    • Any extra time the janitorial staff must spend on cleanup or moving furniture to reset an area prior to a school day
    • Any damages resulting from the use of campus facilities and/or equipment and furnishings
    • Any loss of equipment and furnishings.

OPEN AREA USAGE REMINDERS

  • Please be sure to place all food and drink refuse and large-scale trash in the dumpster closest to the facility you are using.
    • Pizza boxes are not recyclable and should go in the trash dumpsters, not in the cardboard dumpsters or toters.
    • Please refer to the Recycling and Refuse layer in the UH Campus Map for dumpster location details. (For instructions on how to use the map layers, please refer to their FAQ page. )
    • Your organization may be held accountable for any damages and/or trash left in the reserved area.
  • Please maintain a respectful noise level so as not to disturb offices, classes, or other events that may be occurring in the area. Events may be dismissed from an area if we receive disturbance complaints.
  • Please ensure that tents are secured with water barrels as staking is not permitted.
  • Use of open-flame barbeque grills is not permitted.
  • UH Manoa is a smoke-free campus.
  • Power may not be drawn from the buildings. If additional power is required for your event, your group is required to provide your own generator, etc.
  • Please notify the Department of Public Safety if you encounter any non-facility issues or suspicious activity.

ROOM ACCESS ISSUES/SCHEDULING CONFLICTS

  • For any room access or scheduling conflict issues during business hours (Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.), please contact the Work Coordination Center at (808) 956-7134 ext. 3. Please have your confirmation email available for inquiries.
  • For any room access or scheduling conflict issues after hours (Monday through Friday after 4:00 p.m., holidays, and weekends), please contact the Department of Public Safety at (808) 956-6911 or (808) 956-8211. Please have your confirmation email and document available for inquiries.

EQUIPMENT QUESTIONS OR ISSUES

  • Please contact the Center for Instructional Support (CIS) office for any questions or issues related to the equipment provided in the general-use rooms (e.g. computers, sound systems, projectors, etc.). The CIS office is open Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and can be contacted at (808) 956-8075.

FACILITY AMENITY ISSUES

  • For any issues with facility amenities (e.g. air conditioning, plumbing, etc.) during business hours (Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.), please contact the Work Coordination Center at (808) 956-7134 ext. 3.
  • For any issues with facility amenities after hours (Monday through Friday after 4:00 p.m., holidays, and weekends), please contact the Department of Public Safety at (808) 956-6911 or (808) 956-8211.

CANCELLATIONS OR CHANGES

  • To request for changes or cancellations for this event, please reply back to this confirmation email at least three (3) full business days prior to the event occurrence. As long as the changes or cancellations follow that timeline, associated fees will be adjusted accordingly.
