Improvisation Movement Research Community Workshop
About Dr. Choi
Dr. Moonea Choi is a choreographer and dance educator from South Korea. In 2018 she founded the Seoul International Dance Festival in Culture Tank (SIDFIT) and serves as the artistic director of this annual dance festival presenting performances by international artists from throughout Asia, the Pacific, Europe, and the Americas. She created the festival in order to expand opportunities for sharing multinational, cross-genre collaborative dance choreography and improvisational work, to create live and digital platforms for dance artists to show their performance installations and choreography, experience cultural exchange, and connect with other global artists. She has served as the artistic director for the Flower Dance Festival sponsored by Seongnam city in Korea, which consists of inclusive dance education programs and performances. She has established a Society Economy Cooperation to work for Cultural production such as dance creations, arts collaborations, cultural platforms, education & performance, and productions of Festivals.

The webinar will focus on the creation of cohesive national identities in post-colonial Southeast Asia, particularly in Indonesia, Myanmar, and Thailand. Basic Principles of Graphic Design for Instructional Materials

In this hands-on session, you will learn about concepts and strategies useful to enhance the visual appeal and clarity of instructional materials. The first half of the session will focus on designing the overall structure of a document, including typography, layout, and visual hierarchy; the second half on the creation of simple graphics. No prior graphic design experience is necessary.

Asia-Pacific Museums Exchange
In collaboration with the U.S. State Department Cultural Heritage Center Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the National Parks Service Hawaii-Pacific Islands Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (CESU; Task Agreement #P24AC00688), and the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Center for Southeast Asian Studies announce the Asia-Pacific Museum Exchange.
The program will provide professional development for mid-career professionals (with 7-10 years of experience) who work in small to medium-sized museums and cultural centers in island Southeast Asia and in the Pacific islands including Belau, Marshall Islands, Solomon Islands, Tokelau, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, and the American Territories of American Samoa, Guam, and Northern Mariana Islands.
