Update to Freeze Memo (Dated: July 21, 2022)

Update to the Freeze memo from June 6, 2022:

Excepted text from the memo:

As you know, on June 6, 2022 we reduced a number of the provisions of the “freeze” that has been in place since the beginning of the pandemic. Based on feedback since that June 6 memorandum, we are making one additional change.

Effective immediately, recruitments using extramural funds or Research and Training Revolving Funds (RTRF) are excluded from the freeze. The only element remaining is a freeze on all new UH hires into regular (permanent or temporary) positions using UH General Funds (GF) and Tuition and Fee Special Funds (TFSF). Only the UH President can approve exceptions to this freeze upon recommendation from an Officer.
