Day 5 Manaʻo for Cohort Kumukahi November 1, 2024

Although the last day of any experience is often bittersweet, our potluck dessert table made our final time together a little extra sweet! We enjoyed each other’s company with delicious home baked goods, local favorite bakeries, and (since I love eating savory foods for dessert) even some delicious poke that one of our participants made. Walking around Hālau o Haumea on this final day was also extra special because of the many plants that folks had brought for their final presentations—the air was fragrant with pōhinahina and various ferns, and the colors of white hibiscus and ʻaʻaliʻi helped to brighten our space. 

To close our time together for our last session of Cohort Kumukahi, we concluded with an activity where every participant wrote down an important lesson or reminder that they learned during the cohort experience:
