Connecting with our past work
Our e-Newsletter
Each month our office produces an e-newsletter for two reasons:
- To share updates on initiatives we are working on.
- To highlight various initiatives across campus that are helping our university become a Native Hawaiian place of learning.
We also produce an electronic Weekly Update. This email contains information about upcoming events, gatherings, announcements, job postings, and other interesting news relevant to our community.

For this special newsletter, we once again turned our thoughts and reflections on the original intention of our monthly newsletters: to keep the community connected, highlight your work, and continue to inspire you. In our reflection, we thought about what it means to connect, highlight, and inspire while holding immense grief, mourning, loss, and pain – as well as awe and dearest aloha – for our beloved Maui, especially marking the 1-year remembrance of the wildfires. As a team, we came up with contemplative questions that honor the inspirational practices of care we see on Maui and the aloha we want to give to those who have pilina to Maui. We invite you to use these questions to guide practices of care with our students, staff, and faculty, as well as in our environments and communities.
