Sammie Choy is a Honolulu director, producer, and teacher. She received an MFA in Directing and a Ph.D. in Theatre from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and is currently a lecturer in theatre and acting at Kapiʻolani Community College and UH Mānoa. Before returning to Hawai‘i, she was a professional actor in the San Francisco Bay Area. Since 2009, she has directed and produced living history productions on Oʻahu and Maui for the Hawaiʻi Ponoʻī Coalition.
