Kennedy Theatre strives to welcome everybody. As such, we make every effort to meet the facilities and communication access needs of our patrons with disabilities.

Building Access

Patrons with mobility impairments may request assistance for accessing the auditorium. Accessible seating areas are available on a first-come-first served basis. Advance notification is encouraged but not required. Restrooms are wheelchair accessible. Service animals (trained animals that provide a specific service to handlers with disabilities) are welcome. Pets are not permitted on campus per UH policy.

Parking

Two (2) accessible parking stalls are located in front of the theatre, three more can be found immediately behind the theatre and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Other accessible parking is located throughout campus. All campus visitors are charged for parking during enforcement hours.

Audio Accessibility

Sign language interpreting is available, please notify the Kennedy Theatre Box Office at least one week before performance.*

For alternate communication with the Box Office, call Sprint Relay Hawai‘i at 7-1-1.

Assistive listening devices are available at the Box Office.

Visual Accessibility

Large print programs are available at all Kennedy Theatre season performances.

Pre-show orientation for persons with visual disabilities; please request at least one week in advance.

Program information is available electronically or in audio format; please send request at least one week in advance.

Scripts are available on loan for patrons with accessibility needs; please send request at least one week in advance.

Audio describing is available, please notify the Kennedy Theatre Box Office at least one week before performance.*

*requests are accommodated contingent on the successful coordination with auxiliary assistants.
