The UH Mānoa Indo-Pacific Affairs Initiative is offering funding to support internships during Summer 2023. UHM undergraduate and graduate students can apply to receive a $4,000 stipend to work at the Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies. This funding is part of the new Indo-Pacific Affairs Internship Program.
Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies (DKI APCSS)
DKI APCSS is a US Department of Defense institute in Honolulu that addresses regional and global security issues. Interns support courses by assisting professors in seminars attended by US and Indo-Pacific military and civilian security practitioners, perform research, and attend visits from US officials and Indo-Pacific dignitaries.
- Minimum Qualifications: US citizen or F-1/J-1 visa; current UHM undergraduate or graduate student with a minimum 3.25 GPA; physically located on Oahu for the duration of the internship
- Time Commitment: 40 hrs/wk during resident events and 20 hrs/wk otherwise for 12 weeks
