Voice of the Sea: Lidar

Voice of the Sea highlights ocean research and careers. Voice of the Sea TV episodes are 30 minutes long, with online extensions of various length. All episodes are available through voiceofthesea.org.

Lidar

Light detection and ranging (Lidar) uses laser to determine distance. This allows researchers to make maps of places like Waimea Bay to see how individual waves affect the shape of the beach.
