Can be found in freshwater and brackish water areas like rivers, lakes, canals and channels (Trewavas, 1983).

Storage

Keep fish chilled in a cooler or refrigerator. Can be frozen for longer storage.

Preparation

  • Wash fish well before use.
  • Remove the guts with a knife.

Tilapia

Tilapia is a freshwater fish with many species varietiesthat go by the common name tilapia. The body is compressed and deep in shape. Fins are reddish to orange in color with a long top fin (Peters, 1852; Trewavas, 1983).
