On May 6, 2019 at the Urban Garden Center on Oahu participants learned about different won bok cabbage varieties available and a few ways to add value as well as preserve vegetables. The workshop covered:
- Won bok cabbage variety selection
- Vegetable preservation science
- Hands-on kimchi (salted and fermented vegetable) making
- Hands-on vegetable pickling
Speakers included: Jensen Uyeda (Oahu Cooperative Extension) and Dr. Lauren Tamamoto (KCC Culinary Innovation Center)
