For my Giving Back project Shayla S. organized a Kona 4-H Federation Community Service Project. For the project she coordinated with the Kona Task Force on Feeding the Hungry to be at their Meet ‘n Eat dinner that they host for kids and families in the neighborhood at the Kealakehe Intermediate School Cafeteria. On Thanksgiving Day, November 22, 2018, twenty-three 4-H youth delegates, and their four chaperones travelled to National 4-H Congress in Atlanta. The youth, who represented East Hawaii, West Hawaii, and Maui County, enjoyed motivational speeches, educational workshops, community service projects, and a variety of opportunities to network, grow, and learn.
