Giving Back: Providing Community Support

Clothing collected for the Kona community support projectFor my Giving Back project Shayla S. organized a Kona 4-H Federation Community Service Project. For the project she coordinated with the Kona Task Force on Feeding the Hungry to be at their Meet ‘n Eat dinner that they host for kids and families in the neighborhood at the Kealakehe Intermediate School Cafeteria.

In order to spread the 4-H name and to give back to our community she organized a donation drive of necessities that was distributed to those who attended on December 12, 2018. Some of the donations that were made through 4-H were clothes, stuffed animals, and toiletries.

In order to bring holiday cheer and a smile to those during the holiday season the group also gave cards to everyone and organized games for the children to play!
