Excellent Blended Courses in Chinese Higher Education

In 2019, China’s Ministry of Education launched two “10,000 Excellent Courses Projects” at the provincial and national levels. These included 3,000 online and 7,000 blended Excellent Courses. This presentation will discuss blended Excellent Courses, including platforms, teaching modes, effectiveness, and limitations. 

Speaker: Jingjing Song, Xiamen Institute of Technology; Visiting Colleague, UHM

Dr. Jingjing Song is an Associate Professor at the Xiamen University of Technology and previously served as the Director of its Department of International Chinese Education. Her research interests lie in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (TCSOL) and lexicology. She has led more than ten projects including three at provincial and ministerial levels and published one academic monograph and nearly 20 papers in core academic journals. She has also hosted multiple top-notch blended courses and won awards for teaching.
