COVID-19 Contingency Plans (Michael Bruno)

A meeting was held with VCs, Deans, Directors, and ORU Heads to discuss campus operations and emergency preparedness
System Administrators hold daily conference calls and are in constant contact with the Hawaii Emergency Management Agency; campus protocols and operations are continuously being assessed
A complete campus closure is not anticipated.
Note that on March 12, 2020 the university announced the following actions:
- all campuses will move to online instruction beginning March 23rd
- large public events with more than 100 individuals in a confined space are being postponed or canceled as of March 23rd
- cancelation of most already scheduled travel, no new non-essential travel

UH-sponsored travel to CDC Level 3 countries is not authorized
UH-sponsored travel to CDC Level 2 countries requires Provost’s approval

Questions or concerns regarding COVID-19 should be sent to COVID19@hawaii.edu; Dan Meisenzahl and his staff manage that account and forward the messages received to appropriate individuals for responses
Individuals traveling to a CDC Level 3 country will be required to report their travel to their supervisor, self-quarantine for 14 days upon return, and receive clearance before returning to campus
