Our mission
Our mission is to provide research-based information and support for Hawaii’s agricultural industry, as well as for home gardeners and community members interested in healthy, sustainable living.
Our Objectives
Education
To provide education and training opportunities for farmers, gardeners, and community members, including workshops, classes, and online resources.
Research
To conduct and support research on tropical plant and soil sciences, with a focus on improving agricultural practices and promoting sustainable living.
Consultation
To offer consultation and support for farmers and gardeners facing challenges such as pests, disease, and climate change, providing technical assistance and resources to help them succeed.
Partnerships
To foster partnerships and collaborations with community organizations, businesses, and government agencies, in order to achieve shared goals and strengthen the state’s agricultural sector.
