The Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation plans, develops and coordinates systemwide research policies and procedures for the University of Hawai‘i. The following are the major research-related administrative support services offered by the University:
- The Office of Research Services (ORS) provides services for extramural funded activities.
- The Office of Research Compliance (ORC) ensures that research conducted at UH is performed in an ethical and responsible manner.
- The Research Support Center (RSC) provides resource support to UH principal investigators and project directors/staff.
- The Office of Innovation and Commerciallization (OIC) supports innovators and entrepreneurs in commercializing UH innovations.
The Office of the Vice Provost for Research and Scholarship oversees most organized research units at UHM. The office also administers communications with the Research Corporation of UH.
