Application Evaluation

The Sustainable Fisheries Graduate Program application evaluation is a comprehensive process that is not solely dependent on an applicant’s academic record.  The Fisheries program seeks graduate students with a high potential for success in the Fisheries program. 

Advisor Assignment

One of the most important steps in the Fisheries application process is identifying a potential faculty sponsor.  The number of spaces available for new graduate students is directly related to opportunities available among the Fisheries faculty.  New Fisheries graduate students are immediately joined with an advisor when they begin the program.  

As a transdisciplinary graduate program, Fisheries graduate faculty represent multiple departments across UH Manoa and beyond.  It is required you contact Fisheries faculty during the application process to inquire who is admitting graduate students through the Sustainable Fisheries graduate program.
