Every fall, ELP’s annual Enviromentors event connects William S. Richardson School of Law (WSRSL) students with practitioners in the environmental law field–most of whom are Richardson alums with experience and insight into practicing environmental law in Hawaiʻi. Students engage in one-on-one, five-minute conversations with each practitioner, learning about their day-to-day tasks and entry into the environmental law field. The brief conversations provide each student with the opportunity to meet each mentor, share their particular interests in environmental law, and learn about the mentor’s current law practice.
Following the event, ELP faculty pairs each of the student participants with a mentor. Students are encouraged to reach out to their mentors and connect over lunch to allow for more in-depth conversations.
Over the years, Enviromentors has created a unique networking opportunity for current students, faculty, alum, and practitioners. Read more about last fall’s 18th Annual Enviromentors event here, and stay tuned for information about this fall’s Enviromentors event!
