In 2006, ELP was awarded the prestigious Award for Distinguished Achievement in Environmental Law and Policy by the American Bar Association’s Standing Committee on Environmental Law and Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources.

In 2006, the Hawai‘i Legislature honored ELP with a certificate of recognition and a ceremony on the floor of the House of Representatives.
