ELP Hosts Fifteenth Annual Enviromentors

On November 12, 2019, the Environmental Law Program (ELP) held its Fifteenth Annual Enviromentors Event at Café Julia in downtown Honolulu. The event provides a unique opportunity for students to engage with attorneys across various sectors of the environmental law community.

Each year, participating “Enviromentors” sit down with interested law students in short five minute “speed meetings.”  After the event, ELP matches the students up with a mentor based on their feedback, for at the very least, a one-on-one lunch if not a more extensive mentoring relationship. The goals are to spark our law students’ thinking about career options and to match students with an Enviromentor who can be a guide and resource for the student’s future environmental law career. Many of the connections made through this event have helped to further the environmental law careers of students.

ELP extends a special thank you to all the participating mentors, students, and ELP faculty for making Enviromentors an engaging, fun, and successful networking event!
