Alumni Spotlight: Lea Hong Honored at Hawaiʻi’s Thousand Friends 2018 “Unsung Heroes”

Hawaiʻi’s Thousand Friends held its annual “Unsung Heroes” Event at the Hale Koa Hotel on November 11th.  William S. Richardson School of Law alumna Lea Hong, was honored at the event along with several others.  Lea Hong received a degree from Rice University in Texas before receiving her law degree from Richardson.  Lea has been the  Hawaiʻi State Director of the Trust for Public Land, a national non-profit organization dedicated to conserving land for people, since 2006.  The event was attended by several hundred environmental advocates, legislators, and friends of the alliance from across the state.  The keynote speaker was Hawaiʻi Supreme Court Justice Michael Wilson, who spoke on climate change.
