Frannie Demapan (’15) Joins CNMI Office of the Attorney General

Frances “Frannie” Demapan (’15), ELP alumnae and former Research Associate, has joined the CNMI Office of the Attorney General as assistant attorney general.

Frannie will serve as traffic prosecutor on the prosecution team of the criminal division.

In a press release, Attorney General Edward Manibusan stated, “We are excited to have Ms. Demapan join our team. She will be a great asset and I firmly believe that she will be a valued resource for the people we serve.”

Frannie studied English and American Literature at New York University before attending the William S. Richardson School of Law, where she graduated with a certificate in Environmental Law. She previously worked at a private law firm in Hawaii and most recently served as a law clerk for the U.S. District Court for the Northern Mariana Islands.

We last reported on Frannie when she was sworn in to the NMI Bar, a particularly momentous occasion because she was the first child from a judge/chief justice in the CNMI to become a lawyer.

ELP is proud of Frannie and her accomplishments. We look forward to seeing her future successes!
