ELP Alumnae Selected for OEQC Advisory Board

Environmental Law Program alumnae, Onaona Thoene and Mahina Tuteur, have been selected to serve on the advisory board for the Office of Environmental Quality Control.

Thoene, a former research associate for the Environmental Law Program and current associate at Carlsmith Ball LLP, graduated from the law school with certificates in Environmental Law and Native Hawaiian Law in 2013. Tuteur, a post-juris doctor researcher and teaching fellow at the law school with Ka Huli Ao Center for Excellence in Native Hawaiian Law, graduated in 2014 with certificates in Environmental Law and Native Hawaiian Law. Professor David Forman expressed his enthusiasm about their selections, “ELP is thrilled that two of our graduates were selected to serve on this important advisory board.  We hope that other members of the ELP ‘ohana will be inspired to contribute their knowledge and skills as volunteers on relevant boards and commissions.” Congratulations, Onaona Thoene and Mahina Tuteur!
