ELP alumnus Marti Townsend, Director of the Sierra Club Hawaii Chapter, was recently featured on the front cover of MidWeek.  The article praised her skills as an advocate for environmental conservation. The article features several issues of importance to Mrs. Townsend including:  the upcoming International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) meeting in Honolulu Sept. 1-10, 2016, an activist training camp where Mrs. Townsend plans to pass on advocacy skills, and the need to divest Hawaii from fossil fuels.  ELP proudly supports Mrs. Townsend as she uses her legal education to fight for Hawaii’s environment.
