On Sunday, April 8th, 2018, we learned about car maintenance from Uncle Mitch Tasaki and Uncle Eddie Taomoto. We located where the different fluids were as well as how to check them.  We also learned how to jack up a car and change a flat tire using the kit provided with your car.  We got to see how to pump up your tire as well and make sure it was filled enough. Learning basic car maintenance is important because many students have their permits and are working toward getting their licenses.…

Annual 4-H Teach-In

On March 4th, 2018, the Lucky Clovers 4-H Club Olders hosted the annual 4-H Teach-In.There were 18 demonstrations ranging from main dishes to arts and crafts. Members from Ilima, Maui Mongoose, Lucky Clovers Youngers and Olders, and Wolves 4-H Clubs demonstrated. Six cloverbuds from the Charmers 4-H Club observed. The 4-Hers were allowed to exercise their presentation skills in front of judges and family as well as receive constructive criticism. Lucky Clovers Younger Club at Kepaniwai

By Macy Fillazar, Club Reporter – On January 7, 2018 the Lucky Clovers Youngers had a meeting and learned about the impact of the immigrants to our Hawaiian culture. We gathered at Kepaniwai in lao Valley and started with the game Jeopardy. The game included subjects relating to how the immigrants shaped the pidgin language and how each culture brought special foods and traditions.
