For our January 6th meeting, Rachel taught us about Mediterranean cuisine. We made our own naan bread with only 2 ingredients, yogurt and flour. We also made tzatziki sauce and hummus for our bread! It was quite simple considering the fact each dish had very few ingredients used. Everything was so delicious, and we all had a fun time making it together.

Eating Italian!
For our December 2nd, 2018, meeting, Xia taught us about Italian cuisine. We made homemade dough and thinned it out to make our own pasta and pizza. They were both so delicious! Although making each food item was a little difficult, the end result made them totally worth the effort. After the meeting, we all sat down and had a Christmas party. We did a white elephant gift exchange, and after everything, we all got to swim and hang out in the pool at the Ota’s house.

On Thanksgiving Day, November 22, 2018, twenty-three 4-H youth delegates, and their four chaperones travelled to National 4-H Congress in Atlanta. The youth, who represented East Hawaii, West Hawaii, and Maui County, enjoyed motivational speeches, educational workshops, community service projects, and a variety of opportunities to network, grow, and learn.
