4-H Report by Mahina K. Atenza – The Maui Wailani Diamonds 4-H Club held their first meeting on August 20th 2017 at the CTAHR Extension Service Building on UH Maui Campus. The girls installed Kaile Watanabe as Club President. The Diamonds shared their favorite part from Tech Connect where they discussed STEM careers and enjoyed activities with Virtual Reality, Bloxels, and Ozobots. 2017 Tech Connect

Virtual Reality, Bloxels, and Ozobots were the main activities at this year’s Maui County 4-H Tech Connect event with the Maui Economic Development Board, Inc. and Women in Technology! There was also a discussion and presentation on careers in STEM and the importance of increasing the number of women in STEM. Both an informative and fun event!
