The late History Professor Dr. Jagdish Prasad Sharma was a renowned scholar and caring mentor to young scholars in the field of South Asian studies. To commemorate and continue his distinguished legacy, his family generously established the Jagdish P. Sharma Memorial Scholarship, which has also been graciously supported by the Stern Foundation. Now in its eleventh year, the scholarship provides three recipients each an award of up to $5,000.00, distributed in two parts at the start of the Fall and Spring semesters.
