Jeff Romine worked over 26 years as a medicinal chemist before coming to University of Hawaii at Manoa. He earned his Ph.D. as a synthetic organic chemist at The Ohio State University. His many publications and patents are predominantly in the areas of virology (hepatitis C virus), neuroscience (stroke), and cardiovascular disease (platelet agonists).
