3. Workplaces are age-friendly and there is a seamless system to transfer skills and increased opportunities for older workers to continue to work and be productive.
4. Volunteers have opportunities to develop leadership skills.
5. Volunteer options are widely available.

Measure 1: Employment Status

About half of older adults (55+) in Honolulu County reported being retired, followed by almost a third who reported being employed.
The distribution of employment status in older adults (55+) in Honolulu County were similar by sex between 2020-2022.
The percentage of older adults (55+) in Honolulu County that were retired increased with age between 2018-2022.
