Innovation in Nutrition (INNU) Program, Kūpuna U (2022 to 2024)

Kūpuna U, a virtual congregate meals program, has been awarded the Innovations in Nutrition grant funded by the Administration for Community Living. The grant aims to support the testing and documentation of innovative and promising practices in state nutrition programs.

For the development of Kūpuna U, Lanakila Pacific, a congregate meal provider, collaborated with the City and County of Honolulu Elderly Affairs Division, UH Center on Aging, Hawaiʻi Public Health Institute, and members of the Kūpuna Collective

To ensure the effectiveness of the program and its alignment with its goals, the UH Center on Aging is actively involved in providing program evaluation and data support.

To enhance the well-being of older adults through interdisciplinary and collaborative efforts in research, educational programs, and service to the community
