A Chemistry Placement exam and adequate scores are required for the registration of any Pre-Health & Life Sciences / Pre-Engineering cluster. Your UH student ID is used to verify the completion of the Chemistry Placement Exam so please make sure your ID is entered correctly. If you took the placement exam recently, please be aware that scores take 1-2 business days to be reviewed and processed by the  UH Chemistry Department. If you previously took any AP/IB or college credits you will still register for your designated cluster and all the courses. You will need to log on to your STAR portal and drop* those course when your registration portal opens up (May 27).

*Remember when dropping courses that you will need to add courses to stay at full-time status (12 credits)

No, if the cluster you select has less than 4 courses it is not a full-time schedule. This means that you are responsible for adding courses to make sure that you are taking a full-time course load. The registration for incoming students opens May 22nd and you will be able to add the appropriate number of courses to obtain full-time status.
